Ingredients required for Bajre ki Jalebi Recipe

For batter

Millet flour                     1/2 cup
Curd                               02 tbsp
Baking powder               1/4 tsp
salt                                 a pinch
water                              as required

For the sugar syrup

Sugar                              01 cup
Water                             1/2 cup

Oil                                  for frying the jalebi
Green  cardamom         4,5 optional

How to make Bajre ki Jalebi

Step 01
Jalebi batter

  • First of all, prepare the batter, for this take millet flour in a large bowl according to the quantity mentioned above.
  • Add curd, 1/4th tsp baking powder, and a pinch of salt to it and mix well.
  • Add a little water to this mixture and prepare a smooth thick paste.
  • Cover the bowl with cling film and let it rest for about 4-5 hours, the time required for fermentation.

Step 02
Prepare Sugar Syrup

  • At this time you can make sugar syrup, for this put 1 cup of sugar and water in a vessel and heat it.
  • Prepare a string syrup from the sugar solution.
  • Keep the sugar syrup aside.

Step 03
Fry jalebi

  • The batter must have fermented well now, so fill it in a bottle or can with a thin nozzle by piercing the lid.
  • Heat oil in a flat pan, and turn the flame to high.
  • Now make the flame medium and give the shape of jalebi by rotating the can.
  • Let them be deep-fried well, when one side turns light brown then flip it and fry it.
  • Take out the fried hot jalebis and put them in the hot sugar syrup.

Keep in mind that put fried jalebi in hot syrup only, jalebi will drink syrup well.
