Ingredients for Chilli potato

Potato                                      250 grams

Green chili                              2–3 (finely chopped)

 Capsicum                                01 (cut into pieces)

Onion                                        02 (chopped)

Ginger                                      0 1 inch piece (make a paste)

Garlic                                         5-6 cloves (finely chopped)

Corn Flour                               4 tbsp

Tomato Sauce                       02 tbsp

soy sauce                                01 tbsp

Chilli Sauce                              01 tsp

Vinegar                                    0 1 tsp

Chilli flakes                              0 1 tsp

Sugar                                          1/2 tsp

 salt                                            as per taste

Green coriander                   2 tbsp (finely chopped)

Sesame seeds white          for garnishing

Oil                                               for frying

Recipe method

Preparation for making chilli potato

  • First of all, wash and peel the potatoes, cut the washed potatoes lengthwise thinly.

  •  In a large bowl add 2 teaspoons of salt and add the potato pieces, let it rest for about 8-10 minutes.

  • In another bowl add corn flour, little salt and mix well.
  • Put the cut pieces of potato in a sieve and remove the excess water from it, leave it in the open air for 2 minutes, so that the water drains well.
  • Now take out the corn flour powder in a bowl and wrap the cut potato pieces well.
  • Put oil in a thick bottomed kadhai and heat it. When the oil becomes hot, add corn flour coated potatoes and deep fry. When the potato starts looking light golden, then pulse it in a sieve, it will remove excess oil.

Chilli potato recipe with Sauce

  • Chili potatoes are served with sauce. To make this, put 2 spoons of oil in a pan and heat it.
  • When the oil is hot, add finely chopped onion and fry it.
  • Now add capsicum and green chillies to it and fry, add ginger and garlic paste and fry for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add soy sauce, tomato sauce and chilli sauce to it and mix well. To thicken, add 1 teaspoon of corn flour to the water and mix well.
  • Keep the amount of water low otherwise the chili potato will turn wet.
  • Now your Crispy Chilli potato recipe is ready, take it out in a bowl, add some green coriander and serve hot.
