Ingredients for Tomato Corn Pulao

Basmati Rice          01 cup

water                      02 cups

Chopped Onion       02 (medium sized)

Garlic                      7-8 buds

Ginger                     01 inch piece

Tomato                   02 (medium sized)

Fresh Corn              1/2 cup

Green Onion           02 tbsp (chopped)

Cinnamon               01 inch piece

Cumin                     01 tsp

Clove                       3,4

Black pepper          6-7 grains

Oil                           02 tbsp

Salt                          as per taste

Recipe method

Preparation:

  • First of all, make a paste with the help of a mixer grinder by adding ginger, garlic and green           chilies and a little water.
  • Cut the tomatoes and keep them aside.
  • Wash and soak the rice for about 20-25 minutes.

Tomato Corn Pulao recipe

  • Now put the cooker on the gas flame, add 02 tbsp oil and heat it. When the oil is hot, add 1             tsp cumin seeds, when cumin seeds start to splutter, add cinnamon and other spices.
  • Add chopped onion and fry till golden brown. Add chopped tomatoes and cook till oil            separates.
  • Now put the washed rice in the cooker and stir well.
  • Add 2 cups of hot water to it and stir well.
  • Now add salt as per taste and close the lid of the cooker.
  • Turn the flame to medium and take two to three whistles.
  • Let the cooker cool down, when it cools down, open the lid, now your Tomato Corn Pulao    is ready.
  • Remove in a plate and garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with curd or salted     buttermilk.
