Indo Chinese Fried Rice is a vegetarian fried rice, it is a popular dish nowadays in India which is easily available in any restaurant or street. This fried rice is very quick and easy to make as it uses pre-made rice. You can also use leftover rice by frying it like this I have used basmati rice in my recipe, you can use any other rice. Veg fried rice recipe goes best in Asian dishes, Pulao and Biryani. We have used vegetables like carrot, cabbage and peas etc. You can use broccoli, cabbage, beans, potatoes or favorite vegetables in this.

Ingredients for Chinese fried rice

Basmati Rice                     01 cup (cooked)
Olive Oil                            03 tbsp
Cabbage                            02 cups (chopped finely)
Carrot                                01 (chopped finely)
Bell Pepper                       01 medium size (chopped finely)
Green peas                        1/4 cup
Ginger                               1 inch (chopped finely)
Garlic                                6,7 (chopped finely)
Green Chilli                       2,3 (chopped finely)
Spring Onion                     02 (green part chopped finely)
Soy Sauce                          01 tsp
Vinegar white                   1/2 tsp
Black Pepper                     7,8 (grind)
Salt                                    to taste
Sugar                                 1/2 tsp

Chinese Fried Rice Recipe

  • First of all, cook basmati rice and filter it and let it cool completely.
  • Now put oil in a pan and heat it on high flame, when the oil becomes hot, add finely chopped ginger, garlic and green chillies, add chopped green onions and toss well.
  • Add the chopped vegetables to this mixture, and cook for 4-5 minutes or till they turn soft.
  • Now add salt and soya sauce as per taste
  • Add ground black pepper to it and mix, and saute well for a few seconds.
  • Add pre-prepared rice and mix well.
  • After cooking for a few seconds, add vinegar at the end and stir well.
  • Now your Indo Chinese Fried Rice is ready, serve it hot in dinner or lunch with Paneer Chilli or veg Manchurian.
